 According
to the Town and Rural Planning Act of 1979, the Urban Development
Planning Division pay responsibility on planning and designing for
the Bangkok Comprehensive Plan. In Addition, this Division has
duty on designing for Specific Plans, District Plans, Land-use
Standards, i.e., Open Space , FAR and BCR Regulations and protect
the urban environment including the quality of life of the people
in Bangkok.
There are
working units under the supervision of the Urban Development and
Planning

Planning and designing for the Bangkok
Comprehensive Plan in order to use it as the policy framework
for the development of Bangkok.

Designing for the Land use
Master Plan and Land use Regulations comprises the land use
categories and zonings.

Evaluating of the Land use
changing in order to obtain the updated data for the amendment
of the Bangkok Comprehensive Plan.

Planning and Designing for
District Plans and Specific Development Plans in complementary
to the Bangkok Comprehensive Plan.

Regulating the Land use
Planning Standards, i.e., FAR, BCR, Open Space.

Others duties relating to
planning and development of Bangkok.

Public Utilities and Infrastructure Planning Subdivision
Functions & Responsibilities

Integrating plans and projects of relating
infrastructure systems

Designing for road networks
in order to support the public transportation system, land use
plan, and relating utility and facility plans, i.e., the water
drainage system, flooding protection, waste water treatment and
environmental protection, etc.

Planning for necessary
facilities in communities, i.e., public schools, public parks,
health centers, etc.

Planning and designing for
the Bangkok Comprehensive Plan and District Plans.
